Three of the Southland’s most notorious political figures have formed a political triad which seeks to serve their own agenda instead of the people they are supposed to serve. Dolton Mayor and Township Supervisor Tiffany Henyard, Calumet City Clerk Nyota Figgs and Calumet City Alderwoman Monet Wilson are in cahoots as they work for each others campaigns, run candidates and exchange political money.

At the center of the group is the embattled Tiffany Henyard who has made a national fame for by spending millions of taxpayer dollars on herself. Reports show taxpayers are being billed for first class trips, a motorcade, designer clothes and meals while both the Dolton and Thornton Township budgets are in shortfall.

Figgs and Wilson are not slouches when it comes to consuming taxpayer dollars. Wilson took over $250,000 from the federal PPP Loan Program. Figgs rakes in over $130k per year in salary plus expenses from a part time job. She took $21k from the PPP Loan Program.

The three are often seen in public together laughing it up at events and enjoying meals. According to the Illinois State Board of Elections, they exchange political monies towards each others campaigns.

In the last election cycle, Henyard ran candidate Gloria White and lavished on her was designer services from Henyard’s taxpayer funded stylist and plenty of campaign money. White distinguished herself by lying outright and repeatedly in church denying her ties to Henyard. Foot soldiers Figgs and Wilson worked to elect White going door to door in the 2nd ward and running a program to register new voters to turn our for Henyard’s candidate.

The trio of Henyard, Figgs and Wilson have in common a clear willingness to exploit the public’s trust instead of responsibly serving the people of our community. That kind of self interest has no place in local government and they need to be rejected.
